Season One, Episode 01; Return, Part I-
In this thrilling two-hour season premiere, the cast from SMALLVILLE returns to continue the stories of the Superman mythology and other notable D.C. Comics characters.

Senator Martha Kent (Annette O'Toole) returns to Smallville to visit her adoptive son Conner Kent, who has taken over running the Kent Farm with help from Chloe's parents, Gabriel and Moira Sullivan. Martha still owns the farm, but with profits made from Kent Equestrian Stables and Kent Organic Produce, the Sullivans earn sizable royalties. During her visit, Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk) shows up to tell Martha about Lex Luthor's latest endeavors involving 66.2. Martha assures Lana that she already has someoneon the inside” who has been providing her with top secret information. Lana also promises that she has her own secret confidant in case she and Martha need to team up...

Clark (Tom Welling) and Lois (Erica Durance) are in their Metropolis apartment getting ready to leave for the Daily Planet. Lois, who is up to her ears in research involving Lex's projects with metahumans, is missing some vital clues that can connect the rest of the web. All of a sudden, Lana calls Lois on her cell phone and informs her, with a disguised voice, on setting up a meeting about Lois' pending story. Clark also gets a phone call from Oliver Queen and asks to meet him at Watchtower right away. Lois and Clark agree to meet up later and they part ways...

At the Justice League headquarters, Oliver (Justin Hartley) and Dinah (Alaina Huffman) are not convinced that Tess Mercer is deceased. They sincerely believed her to be an invaluable asset to Watchtower and disclose to Clark of their constantly receiving messages and clues possibly leading to Tess still being alive. Clark says that if she can be found, then all must be done to prevent her state-of-being and whereabouts from being discovered by Lex...

At the former LuthorCorp Plaza tower, renamed LEXCORP TOWER, Lex Luthor is speaking with his top scientist on the possibility of retrieving his lost memories. Since the security footage in his executive office became damaged with the arrival of Darkseid's planet, Lex cannot verify if there was a woman on his office floor that day; and if he had found her dead, or killed her himself. Apparently, when he was distracted watching the impending doom in the sky, he was knocked out; and the woman he claimed was in his office, vanished without a trace. He also confesses that his memories indeed can only go as far back as that day: the late afternoon of Friday May 13, 2011. Lex's scientist remembers a procedure that was successful with Summerholt Institute technicians, but cannot completely remember the formula itself. Lex orders his scientist to do whatever it takes to locate that information and to report back to him when he has a reliable lead.

[Prior to her death, Tess eradicated any paper trail that would reveal that LuthorCorp's former CEO was in fact Lex Luthor's half-blood sister. Tess even went through the trouble of rewriting the Luthor family history so Lex could not ever have a link to his real past. She willed all true information of herself and family lineage to Clark Kent, her Watchtower colleague. Unbeknownst to all who befriended Tess in the Justice League, she still has more to offer her beloved allies, and that one of them is responsible for aiding her in that very mission]...

Chloe (Allison Mack) is having a peaceful lunch at the Metro Coffee Stop when her best friend Lana Lang shows up to make an order at the counter. Chloe enthusiastically greets Lana and asks what she is doing in Metropolis. Lana divulges information to Chloe about Lex's "natural interest" in the meteor-infected and that she wants to be a part of the Watchtower gang. Chloe reiterates Lana's unfortunate ability to absorb kryptonite, but Lana promises that there is a method to remove that skill from her 'Prometheus power suit.' By doing so, she will no longer be a danger to Clark and Kara or any Kryptonian when she comes in close proximity to them. But, what is required of Chloe is to first get her blessing so she can proceed with her plans to join the Justice League. Lana also informs Chloe that she has an insider at LEXCORP who will provide her access to the technology she needs...

After learning about the information leading to Tess, Clark sets out to find her. He traces the signal of the messages to the same apartment building where Oliver's clock tower loft is. When Clark arrives, he is surprised to see a hooded woman dressed in red. Thinking it is the Red Queen, the woman turns around and reveals herself to be Tess after all. Clark ponders to how this is possible. Is it the Tess from Earth-2, or a clone of the real Tess? But, Tess explains to Clark that Chloe was able to restore her healing abilities after requesting them from Jor-El right before Clark destroyed Darkseid. Since then, Chloe has become one of two "emissaries" on behalf of Jor-El in service to 'the Kryptonian House of El.' Chloe was bestowed the Kryptonian oracle name Rapha-El meaning "The Healer." Both Tess and Chloe do not know who the other emissary is, but they do know that Martha knows for certain. Tess also reveals that because of Martha's former insider knowledge of Checkmate, Tess was able to become Martha's Second-in-Command and her corporeal decoy in the field taking on the code-name "Vigilance" and adopting the pseudonym "Virginia Lance."

Back at Watchtower, all of the gang regroup except Lana and Lois. Tess greets her friends and everyone is excited to learn that Tess survived an attack from Lex. Conner hugs his "surrogate sister" with sincere brotherly love and is happy that she is indeed a "survivor." Martha then briefs the group on her newfound alliance with Tess and also explains that Lana is trying to obtain scientific information on reversing the effects of her kryptonite absorption. Four years ago, rogue loyal agents of Lex forced Dr. Edward Groll (Bill Mondy) to relinquish the technology by threats of torture, so the data is once again in Lex's possession. Since the rebuilding of the Luthor Mansion, the League knows that Lex would not keep the data so close to home. They deduce that when LuthorCorp was renamed to LEXCORP that subsequent renovations to the tower were probably an ideal cover for incorporating 66.2. Martha informs the group that she has a secret insider at LEXCORP but needs the assistance of the League to make certain the mission is carried out without alerting Lex. Zatanna (Serinda Swan) arrives at the meeting and says that she already has a scheduled magic performance at the Metropolis Museum of History. Lex requested the talents of Zatanna for LEXCORP's gala dinner at the museum, so all that is needed is the carry out of a covert operation inside the Tower, by the way of the insider...

Lois is at the Daily Planet talking with Cat Grant (Keri Lynn Pratt), whom has expressed her overwhelmingly personal disfavor for Lex Luthor, preferring Tess Mercer as the owner and operator of the acclaimed global newspaper. Their conversation is interrupted when Perry White (Michael McKean) requests to speak with Lois. Lois lets Perry know right away that she has a lead on "the Lex Luthor - metahuman experiments story." Perry takes Lois at her word but insists that she not come back without some evidence to back her claims. Lois leaves and takes the elevator to the lobby storey. She gets a call on her cell phone and the caller asks to meet her in the archive room. Lois meets Lana, who is in disguise incognito. The two old friends embrace and Lois asks what Lana is up to here in Metropolis. Lana says her contact at LEXCORP can provide Lois with all she needs to expose Lex, and also get the documents on "reversing meteor exposure." Lana needs the assistance of the Justice League to fulfill the mission on storming Lex's skyscraper undetected from outside. Lois suggests taking Lana to Watchtower, but Lana says she will meet her there in half an hour.

It is now nighttime. Lois leaves and Lana goes to Metropolis Memorial Park Cemetery to meet up with her secret confidants. A figure dressed in dark robes stands above the site of Lionel Luthor's grave marker. Lana announces her arrival and the figure removes his hood. The man is revealed to be Lionel Luthor himself (John Glover)! The real Lionel Luthor! Not a clone or an alternative version!

Shortly after, joining Lana and Lionel is Lex's second wife, Dr. Helen Bryce (Emmanuelle Vaugier). Helen was right all along in despising Lex because she believes wholeheartedly that he has become an evil man. Although personally sad at this truth, Lionel accepts that Lex is truly irredeemable. So, he vows to be of service to Clark and the Justice League in quelling all of Lex's diabolical agendas. Lionel says that when the time is right, he will reveal himself to Clark with Martha's help...

[In SMALLVILLE: Season Seven, Episode 11, "Siren," Lana warned Lionel that Lex was a foe not to be underestimated. Despite their own complicated relationship, Lana genuinely cared for Lionel's well-being reiterating that Lex was historically prone to obsession. Her former husband had by that time became far more dangerous and unpredictable than ever before. Lionel judged the serious tone and countenance of Lana's warnings and set about putting matters in to motion to prepare for the worst. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AganAMKd_o0)].

[In SMALLVILLE: Season Seven, Episode 16, "Descent," Lex is awaiting his father's arrival in Lionel's office at LUTHORCORP Plaza, the skyscraper world headquarters for the family business. Lex retreats from the shadows and inquires the real reasons Lionel was in the town of Smallville on the day of its first meteor shower, on October 07, 1989. Lionel throws away Lex's suspicions on determining the factual identity of an individual known as "the Traveler." Lionel declared that Lex was that traveler. The Luthor patriarch's association with Veritas had become more and more known to Lex but Lionel could not give up his group's most private secrets, even in the face of death. Lionel proved his undying loyalty to the Kryptonian named Kal-El when Lex was not satisfied with his father's supposed revelations. Lex withdrew a handgun and opened fire toward Lionel shooting the office's principal window. Lex retrieved one vital clue from Lionel, a necklace bearing the Veritas symbol. Lex then exacted revenge against his own father by pushing him out of the office window, forty stories above grade; murdering the man from whose seed had given him life. Lex officially began his "descent" in to becoming an evil man in that very moment. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mK_P-XxKks4)].

...However, unbeknownst to anyone, Lionel survived! John Jones used his abilities and gift of flight to save Lionel in time before he plummeted to his death. Lionel was Jor-El's "oracle" and he had to be saved at all costs should Jor-El require him for any further Kryptonian mission work. From research that was uncovered from his own LUTHORCORP sources, Lionel had in the previous year, in 2006, used the technology from Lex's 'Project Ares' to clone himself just as Lex had done to Lana. With the help of John Jones, the clone of Lionel was put in place of where Lionel would have landed had he really died. With his superspeed, the Martian Manhunter spirited the real Lionel to safety to live in obscurity but to undergo trials from Jor-El. After succeeding in these trials, Lionel was given all of the gifts of a 'true Kryptonian' and given his official oracle name of "Lion-El." As Jor-El's oracle, Lionel was to not interfere with Kal-El's progressions until after the ultimate threat of Darkseid and his planet were extinguished. With Kal-El becoming "Superman," as he was known to the people of Earth - and having become a Hero in his own right after overcoming his father's trials - Lion-El could finally surface and be of service on behalf of 'the Kryptonian House of El' in the open with the members at Watchtower.

[Yet to be written]

Season One, Episode 02; Chief-
In "Chief" we learn that Perry White is celebrating his six-year anniversary of being appointed 'Editor-in-Chief' for the Daily Planet. This good news and a reunion with journalistic colleagues Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and James Bartholomew Olsen soon after turn sour as shocking breaking news informs the world. American politics had made a turn for the worse in recent weeks up to the mid-term congressional elections concurrently bringing forth a highly unusual and swift down-turn in the economy, somehow leading to a constitutional crisis. Hmmm... Guess what has happened?! All of the chaos in the country thrust the CEO of LEXCORP toward ultimate political and military power! Alexander "Lex" Luthor became "President-Elect for the United States of America," the new incoming 'Commander-in-Chief.'

On the next day, and already having recently endured "strong-arming" threats from (President-Elect) Lex Luthor, a distressed and distracted Perry White tries managing the world's most famous newspaper attempting to headline the latest developments. Luthor has made known of an aggressive economic recovery plan he is set to address to Congress. Frantically calling on his star reporter and journalist Lois Lane for the latest scoops, Perry turns around in a frenzy startling himself when sighting a replica marble bust of his hero Gaius Julius Caesar IV in his upper-storey office. "Great Caesar's Ghost!"
